Brockton - March 2, 2025
It was a cold but beautiful day today, about 24 degrees, on the streets of Brockton as we served 66 meals to our friends across two locations (although we visited 4 locations). Because of the weather, we missed many of our friends who were hunkered down staying warm. We gave out many hats, gloves, and scarves along with hot meals, fresh fruit, home baked goods and hot drinks. We had some new team member joining us, including to a 7th grader who recently wrote a paper for school about homelessness. There were also a number of prayer requests:
- Chris and Jacquelin are doing well. Chris continues to pray for peace of mind and clearness of thought.
- Chris (different guy) is praying for Theresa who is in the hospital with swollen limbs and IV fluids.
- Regina is so distraught, her parents were attacked in their home a year ago with her mother molested and her father murdered. The two teenage attackers recently committed suicide. She’s confused, and angry, and sad and desperately needs God.
- Freddy is (still) so excited about the Four Seasons of Freddy calendar that Jillian created.
- Kinson just wants prayer
- Trevor is thankful for how God has helped him and is praying for a job.
- Becca uses a walker and needs prayers for mobility and safety.
- Angela was thankful for a hot meals.
- Mario is praying he can get into rehab this week.
- Heather is on dialysis and may need a kidney. But she is filled with joy as she had an encounter with the Holy Spirit last week and accepted Christ as her Savior.
We are so thankful to all of you, our supporters and contributors who make this vital ministry possible. We keep hearing from our friends how they rely on LYNN Ministries for a meal on Sundays and for the family atmosphere of love and dignity that we bring to the streets. Thank you! (Sorry I failed to get a group photo.)
