Brockton - June 15, 2025
It was a wonderful day of service in Brockton on this Father’s Day where we served 114 meals across 3 locations. We served chicken fajitas, fresh fruit, baked goods, and cold drinks to our friends. It started out cool but quickly turned warm as the clouds burned off and the sunshine took over. We were so blessed to celebrate lots of dads and offer lots of prayer:
- Sheila asked us to pray for her during the week
- AJ is praying for a good day
- Jean is praying for a job
- Jean is asking for blessings and stress relief
- Justin is just praying for blessings
- Don asks us to pray for Laura
- Charlie is praying to see his kids and his grandkids. He’s happy that his tent is safe from Spaz the raccoon (he stopped feeding Spaz).
- Bruins John asks us to pray for Gaza.
- Samantha just needs prayer.
- Enoch is praying for Phil
- Reginald is praying for goodness, prosperity and leadership
- Bob is a veteran in the army, and just needs prayer.
- Tim and Danica are asking for guidance, and strength, especially as they have a baby (coming in July)
- Christina surprised us all with her pleasant language (someone called it bedazzled language)
- Marcie is praying to regain movement on her left side after being hit in the head by a stray bullet, and having a stroke
- Janet is praying that her shoulder would heal, and for her brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, and her grandchild
- Vincent surprised us (we haven’t seen Vincent in over a year) and he’s now giving out food with Amy.
- Sean (amputee) has a meeting with a vascular surgeon on Wednesday and an MRI for his other leg in July
- Felicity is praying for comfort and peace.
- Big J we’re pleased to announce that he’s alive. (That sounds funny but we’d heard he had died.) He needs a job.
- Rashonda is looking for a new home and stability
- Alan needs housing and a better connection with his son.
- Scotty is praying for connection with his daughter, and healing his legs
- Jimmy is praying for changes of heart within his family
We are so very thankful for this ministry and the opportunities we have to serve our friends on the streets. Thank you all for making this ministry possible.
