Brockton - December 28, 2025
Sunday was a wonderful day to close out the year of service in Brockton. It was a small team as we had some cancellations due to illness, but the team still managed to serve 102 of our friends on the streets. It had snowed on Saturday, which made it more difficult for some of our friends to get around and therefore the team made additional stops closer to where they live. Two of the normal locations where we often serve were completely empty due to the cold weather and snow. That said, the team was able to bless our friends with a hot meal in such cold weather.
This week, LYNN Ministries had volunteers from the following churches: Church of Emmanuel, South Shore Community Church, The Fellowship
While many prayers were requested, the team was so small that we only got a small number written down.
– Richard is praying for a new place to live.
– Tony asked for prayers to have some good days ahead.
– Miriam is asking for prayers for her husband who is in jail.
– Laura and Don are praying to stay positive and for things to get better.
– Marie is praying for her daughter to become a believer in Jesus and for the well-being of her grandson.
– Lisa is praying that everything goes well as she prepares to move into a new apartment.
– Tom is praying for his health.
– Dawn is scheduled to go into a nursing home but is praying for a better place than the one she’s currently moving into.
– Steven is asking for help as his ID was stolen and he lost everything.
– Marlon is praying for growth in his spiritual walk.
– Marcie is praying for patience.
– Einance is praying for her heart to heal as she lost her mom.
– Hanover is praying for his well-being as he recently relapsed.
– Laura is praying for a safe start to the new year and to stay sober.
– Jackie is praying for positivity.
– Anthony is asking for prayers as he is currently in the hospital.
2025 has been a wonderful year of service for LYNN Ministries and we are so blessed by all of our volunteers, our prayer warriors, our contributors, and most of all by the love of Jesus as he guides us to serve people living on the margins of society. We do not necessarily share the gospel using theological words, but rather we start by demonstrating the gospel through our deeds, our hugs, and the words of love that we provide. Jesus’ love, grace and mercy cannot be easily described. Often it must be a physical expression, which then leads to a spiritual awakening. You all help make that happen and we are so very grateful for your support. We hope you all had a very merry Christmas and are looking forward to a prosperous New Year. Please keep your prayers coming as conditions continue to deteriorate on the street of Brockton and Attleboro. God bless you all!
