Brockton - April 26, 2026
Sunday was a cool overcast day as we took a team of five to serve on the streets of Brockton. It was a busy day and we served meals to about 80 of our friends but more than that came for drinks and for prayers. Because of the small team we didn’t get as many deep conversations or pictures as we would normally like, but there was plenty of opportunity for prayer.
We had volunteers from the following churches: Church of Emmanuel, Jesus Revolution Church
The prayer list includes:
– Freddy was rocking his Trinidad outfit. He was very happy to see us.
– Rachel is praying for her health.
– Michelle was singing the whole time we were serving her. She is praying for housing and for her health as she has serious needs regarding her liver, her kidneys and her immune system.
– John is living at the VA. He’s a Vietnam vet and is asking for prayers for a better living situation.
– Joe was praying for peace, happiness and prosperity. He’s also praying to get into the labor union so he can work.
– Dawn is so excited that she was able to quit fentanyl and now she’s hoping to beat her addiction to crack. She needs our prayer.
– Enoch is praying for his family to arrive from Dominican Republic.
– Lee was excited to tell us that he now has housing. We haven’t seen him in years so it was good to catch up.
– Jean is praying for his daughter who is two and a son who is 15. He’s also praying to get housing. He is excited about getting married in July.
– MacKenson is praying for protection and shelter. His family is in Haiti.
– Lisa just got out of the hospital and has a potassium and magnesium deficiency.
– Raschel has bad pain in her knee and her whole leg. The doctor says that her knee is deteriorating.

– Koby got the paperwork he needed for a job and is looking forward to a better life.

– Guillermo is praying for me. That was so touching to hear and an honor.

– James 1 is praying for happiness.
– James 2 (and Brownie) are praying for health. His hip is causing pain and he had a stroke recently. He is praying to grow closer to God.
