Attleboro - April 12, 2025

Here is an update from the LYNN Ministries team from Beacon Covenant Church, Attleboro that served last Saturday in Attleboro.

It was a very cold, wet, windy day in Attleboro, but still a beautiful day to be out serving the Lord's children (about 35-40). We were able to provide our friends with men's and women's clothing, toiletries, hot drinks, homemade baked goods, fruit, snacks, prayer, and encouragement.

We started with our friend Paul, who is living outside, but still maintaining a positive attitude. He's been getting a little part-time work, doing some landscaping, and has been able to keep his phone bill paid. Paul is always appreciative of the continued prayers that we give him for more regular work and housing.

We then saw Patricia (Ms. LeBlanc), who is doing okay, and appreciates our stopping in every month to see her, and give her some food, drink and conversation. Her family is shrinking around her, as her daughters have passed, and now she is left with grandchildren, greats, and great-greats. Unfortunately, most of them are far away. Prayers for her well-being, mentally, and physically.

We saw a surprisingly large group of folks at the Soup Kitchen. John (Jack/Dino) needs prayers for his balance, as it seems he's had several health issues, and is missing his brother, Willy.

Bob is outside, but seems to be doing slightly better, as he has been working on his sobriety, and getting some small landscaping jobs, here and there. He needs a new tent, which we will provide for him, thanks to you, the generous supporters of LYNN Ministries.

We were able to get 6 meals from the soup kitchen, and hand deliver them to folks living outside, Paul, Eric, and Carrie. Carrie and Eric looked better than they had in several months, although living outside, is still very tough on them. They were upbeat and looking forward to warmer weather. Prayers that they are able to connect with a social worker to help them with required paperwork for jobs and housing.

Lastly, prayers are needed for Joyce, who is having several health problems, and didn't want to get into specifics. She seemed a little down this month.

Thanks to all of you who support this ministry in all the ways that you do! The prayers are appreciated and felt by those who need them most.
