Jesus on the Streets of Attleboro - October 8, 2022
Here’s an update from the Evangelical Covenant Church, Attleboro team who served yesterday in Attleboro.
God gave us a beautiful fall day in New England, to serve about 40 of our homeless and at risk friends in Attleboro.
Please pray for Mike, who we have not seen in a few months. He is living outside. In general, there is a feeling of dread among some of our folks, who are living outside, or close to it, as cold nights are upon us.
Bob who is living outside, was joyful and grateful to get new boots and a tarp. He is just getting out of the hospital, and hoping to get into rehab, and then a group home on Pleasant St. Please pray for Bob to make these steps forward in life, with God’s help.
We met Dylan for the first time, and he lost everything from the house he was staying in, and is starting over. He is working with St. Vincent’s to get some housing.
Richie was there, and glad to see us, but he is still very depressed and struggling heavily over Ronda’s death. He built a memorial for her in a nearby cemetery.
George was drunk but very thankful for our help.
Mike and Heidi were new to us this month, and Mike would like prayers for his separated shoulder, so he can get back to work.
Shaun is looking for a job at the courthouse. He has applied 3 times, and made it to various points in the process, without getting the position. Please pray for him to succeed this time.
We dropped off clothes and provisions for Eric and Carrie, but they were not at their campsite this week. Please continue to pray for them to get the help they so desperately need.
We appreciate everyone’s prayers for our friends. God loves to hear from us, especially when we are in prayer for others. He did answer your prayers for our longtime friend of over 10 years, Fred. Fred had been trying to get to Maine for the last 5-6 months, and with the help of LYNN Ministries, he was able to get on a bus in Boston, and go to Maine to be with family, and hopefully get his own housing. Fred had been living outside in a parking garage. Your prayers help, always.
Thank you to all of our sponsors, supporters and prayer warriors.
