Jesus on the Streets - January 21, 2024
Here’s the report from our LYNN Ministries team from The Fellowship that served 43 people in the bitter cold on the streets of Brockton on Sunday.
Days like today remind us of the bitter physical challenges of life on the streets. While the cold was tough on our team, we were much more affected by the look in the eyes of people desperately searching for escape from the cold. We were thankful to be able to provide a warm meal, some much-needed warm clothing, and encouragement to those who came to us today. We all are left with the feeling that there's more to be done. This is a good thought to reflect on while we are faithful to do what's put right in front of us.
Join us in lifting prayers for JD, Jordan, Kameal and about four others living under one of the railroad bridges in the city. We pray for Mike who is desperate for a place to call home. We are thankful that some are able to find shelter at Father Bill's, and we ask for God's intervention to bring about real change in the lives of so many. Although he was not interested in prayer, we promised Jim that we would pray for the protection of his son and for healing in this estranged father-son relationship.
We thank all who faithfully pray for and support this ministry. Never lose sight of the people we serve!
