Jesus on the Streets - December 17, 2023
Here is an update from the LYNN Ministries team from The Fellowship that served on Sunday.
Today we had the privilege of ministering with food and encouragement, to 99 of our friends in Brockton. Although the numbers were fewer than usual, the needs were great and a general air of anxiety and concern for safety on the streets prevailed. Several women asked for prayers for peace and safety, both of which are in short supply at present. Clothing needs persist, although LYNN Ministries is working hard to meet these needs. Here are a few specific prayers we ask you to raise for our friends.
- Jeanette needs sleep. She's too afraid of people stealing her things to be able to truly rest.
- Angel was given hard news that she has just a short time to live.
- Michelle is in a great deal of pain.
- Clara's daughter fell and hurt her back. She had a rod implanted and is now in rehab to learn how to walk again.
- Anthony is trying to get his driver's license with the goal of starting a transport business.
- Nicky is one of several women who are anxious about the recent violence on the streets. There's a great deal of anxiety among those sleeping outside.
As you celebrate the birth of our Saviour, please remember the vulnerable and needy. Pray for them to experience the presence of Jesus this season and for evermore.
Blessings
