Brockton - September 8, 2024
Here is an update from the LYNN Ministries team that served on Sunday in Brockton.
Today our team had another beautiful day of service in Brockton with good weather. There were steady lines of guests coming to the table across both serving stops. The 6 of us did not feel rushed, nor too busy, and we were able to interact with our guests and blessed many of them with prayers. We thought we were going to run out of plastic ware at one point. But God miraculously sustained us. We had exactly enough to hand out until the last guest. We fed 120 guests and still came back home with 5 pans of chicken and rice. While it’s very challenging witnessing the harsh reality of our friends’ daily lives on the streets, it’s the little things like this (plastic ware) that give us hope, comfort and encouragement, reassuring us that God is near. We are not alone.
Below are the prayer requests:
⁃ Mikey asked prayer for good health.
⁃ Robinson asked for a general prayer. So we prayed for God to sustain his faith, for a job that suits his strength, for new beginnings.
⁃ Donna is in need for an apartment and a job. Please pray for God’s provision and open doors for her. Pray that God strengthen her faith and restore her life.
⁃ Daniel was squiggly when he came to us. He asked us to pray for the healing of his feet, and for a roof over his head.
We are very thankful to Grace Chapel Foxboro for allowing us to use their kitchen while our home church kitchen is renovated. Please continue to be praying for our friends on the streets and thank you for your support!
