Brockton - March 23, 2025
Here is the update from Sundays team that served 88 of our friends in Brockton. We are thankful for the team members from Church of Emmanuel, St. Mary's Foxboro, Grace Chapel Foxboro, South Shore Community Church who served a hot meal of Dijon Chicken along with home baked goods, fresh fruit, and snacks. Here is what they wrote:
Sunday was a good day to be able to serve our friends in Brockton. A little chilly 38° with the wind blowing at about 14 mph made it a fun time keeping the plates and cups from blowing away!
We encountered another church that had set up some tables with clothes. Their pastor was using a megaphone, which was very loud. (That’s not our style but to each their own.)
We were able to pray for the following:
- Mary for health her stomach has open wounds which are treated daily but she is deemed too high risk for surgery.
- Bruins John said that since we prayed for him last week it was a good week and things went well!
- Niki for housing
- Kathy was hospitalized for 8 days with Covid. She is out of the hospital and feels much better
- Rashawn stopped by to ask us about making t-shirts
- Dreadlocks Fred prayed for peace on the streets and that no one would touch his bag with personal items.
- Seth has been job hunting and hoping disability would come thru. He was shot in the head.
- Josh for his son that he remains a good boy for his mom and stays on the straight path
- King has been clean and sober for3 months and asks for prayers for his two kids living with his mom.
- Arizona’s tent location was cleared out.
It was a good day of service for the team and we are so thankful for all those who make this ministry possible!
