Brockton - June 20, 2026
Saturday was an absolutely gorgeous day to be out serving the Lord in Brockton. It was the third Saturday so we took a large load of clothes, toiletries, tents, blankets, and of course a meal and cold drinks. We had a team of nine, which allowed us plenty of time to minister to our friends.
The prayer list includes the following:
– Lisa asked us to simply praise the Lord.
– Jay is praying for a job (hopefully in security) and to care for his wife.
– Toussaint was praying for a tent which we were able to provide.
– Sue is praying for her daughter who has been stealing from her. Her daughter was hit by a car and is now in rehab, but they need to work out the problem of theft.
– Jennifer is praying about her anxiety and addiction to crack, which she says has been decreasing as she uses Suboxone, but she’s trying to wean off all drugs. She is also praying for her mother, her brother, her dad and her boyfriend. She asked for a rosary, but sadly, we did not have one with us.
– Barbara, who is in a motorized wheelchair and drives like it’s a hot rod, was praying for protection. (The way she drives, yes please! LOL)
– Andy was helping his friend Mark who is in a wheelchair. He is praying for his mom who is sick and he is praying because he was recently robbed of his cell phone and other items and is finding it difficult to have hope.
– Dave is praying that he can make a change for the better for the sake of his family.
– Domingues is praying for his family.
– Denilson is praying for peace and health.
– Leslie told us that her boyfriend Rainey passed away. She is praying to get into detox.
– Leah is praying to overcome her addiction.
– Kerri is praying for her children, for her family, for safety, for sleep and for protection from demons. Most poignant was her prayer to find a true friend, who wasn’t trying to take advantage of her.
– Yolanda is praying that she can get work as a PCA.
– Antonio is praying for others.
– Kenny is thankful that his bank problems have been resolved and he is no longer in debt. He still needs to get an ID card. He fell recently and hurt his knees.
– Anthony is praying because he has had a series of seizures recently.
– Becca is praying about her muscle and nerve problems. She is very pleased that she’s now been sober for four months.
– Guillermo is very happy that he will be going fishing this upcoming weekend.
– James, who usually has his dog Brownie with him, is praying for good health.
– We are also offering general prayer for James in the wheelchair and Mary.
Thank you again to all those who make this ministry possible. We are all making a difference on the streets of Brockton.
