Brockton - August 25, 2024
The last Sunday of August (yes this is late) was a wonderful day of service in Brockton as we said goodbye to Victoria and she heads back to school. We served 114 meals on the streets and people were (for the most part) well-behaved. It was also a bit depressing as quite a few of our friends seem stuck in their addiction. Below are the prayer requests:
- Derek is praying to overcome his addiction
- John is praying for his two children ages 11 & 13
- Mike is thankful that he is still sober
- Caesar is praying for a better life
- Kirk is praying for a safe environment and for housing
- Robert is praying to be healed of prostate cancer and the severe back pain he feels
- Al prayed for LYNN Ministries and then Dave prayed for Al’s strength to continue to serve God, and to avoid anger and jealousy
- Rachel is praying for Mike’s ankle and Mark’s blood clots
- Francisco desperately needs hernia surgery and we don’t know why it’s being delayed
- Kimberly is praying for a safe place to stay
- Lorraine is praying for housing and back injury
- Charlie is praying for safety living in the woods, and for healing for Deb’s elbow
- Chris is distraught because his wife fell twice and is now in a rehab hospital.
- Yve prayed for stability in all aspects of her life. She has been homeless since getting divorced in May.
- Rebecca is thankful for having her daughter back in her life.
We are so thankful to Grace Chapel Foxboro for allowing us to use their kitchen while our home church kitchen is renovated. We have been praying for all our friends and looking forward to seeing them tomorrow. Please continue to be praying for our friends on the streets and thank you for your support!
