Attleboro - January 10, 2026
Here an update from the LYNN Ministries team that served on Saturday in Attleboro. We are thankful for the volunteers from Beacon Covenant Church, Attleboro for their faithfulness.
It was a cold but beautiful day to be out serving the Lord's people in Attleboro this past Saturday. We served about 40-45 people in total, which is less than each of the last 3 months. This could be a good sign that more people have found somewhere warmer to stay, although we know of at least 20 or so folks that are living outside.
We were able to visit our normal 4 sites, and provide clothing, homemade baked goods, fruit, snacks, prayer, and encouragement, as well as celebrate Patricia's 92nd birthday with song and a cake. A 5th site we were going to start visiting was an outdoor campsite that was closed down by the city. This has led unfortunately to folks trying to find campgrounds in new locations, as well as lost belongings when their sites are removed. We pray for all of those who are living outside, especially during the cold winter months. Below is our prayer list for this month:
- Patricia celebrating her 92nd birthday, and for her grandchildren, who are remaining connected to her, and able to visit.
- Beth and Geno who were recently displaced and lost most of their belongings. They are living mostly outside and staying with their friend Richie when they can.
- Bob who is trying to get his unemployment benefits, but facing challenges with an expired ID. We will be helping him to get a new ID. He really wants to get back to work, so he can get a room somewhere.
- Kelly who is new to us this month and escaping an abusive relationship. She is safe at the moment.
- George, Eric & Carrie, Bob, the other Bob, Geno & Beth, Mark, Matt, Dana, Jim and the others who are living outside in these elements. Please pray that they can get housing. The shelter is full, and the warming center is only open 3 nights per week.
Thanks to all of you who support us and LYNN Ministries through prayer, donations, cooking, and volunteering. Your love is felt by the team, and by those who we are privileged to serve.
