Jesus on the Streets (3rd Saturday) - December 17, 2022

It was a joy-filled day in Brockton as we served 90 meals of pork loin, potatoes, vegetables, fresh fruit, home baked goods and hot drinks across 5 locations. More than that visited with us and received Christmas gifts and warm clothes to counter the raw weather. Between the economy and some disruptions to local charities, there are fewer ministries in Brockton with the resources to fill the growing need and desperation so LYNN Ministries is trying to help fill the void but it’s a challenge.

We were so busy with filling needs and prayer time that I was not able to write down as many prayers as usual by here we go:

  • Raymond is praying that he can find his daughter Najah in Somerville, MA.

  • Winston is praying for health and strength.

  • Reuben was worried his sister would miss out on our Christmas gifts.

  • Randy & Maggie report that 6 people living near them in tents have died recently from Fentanyl (it’s being laced into cocaine).

  • Bobby and Andrea are still sleeping under a bridge.

  • Steve is back from a prolonged hospital stay caused by smoking cigarettes while on oxygen.

  • Doris is struggling with a bad hip and lives on the 3rd floor of an apartment building.

  • Kenney is going in for doctor visits to see what’s happening with his heart, lungs, liver, and knee.

  • Anthony is praying he can overcome his seizures and take care of himself.

  • Topping all this off, Linda gave us Christmas cards to thank us for loving everyone.

As we begin our 13th year of serving on the streets of Brockton we are so pleased that you, our followers and supporters, are joining us on this adventure. Thank you, and Merry Christmas!
